Colorado Week 3

This week started off with such blue skies, sunshine and temps in the 60’s!

After visiting the Arvada Vineyard, Steve and I enjoyed a walk along the Clear Creek River on Sunday afternoon. There were so many people out fly fishing. We even saw a guy who caught a fish!  It was refreshing to be outside walking.

We caught up on Laundry and did our groceries for the week as well.

The week flew on by full of daily tasks. Steve and I got in a few more walks around Idaho Springs during the week.

On Friday we went to the famous outdoor amphitheater Red Rocks, to hear Walker Hays perform. It was a breezy afternoon, but we enjoyed the concert. During the concert Walker Hays took time to share his testimony of coming to faith. The views from the seats in the amphitheater were breathtaking and the moon was a giant full moon! Such a great experience.

On Saturday we headed to Colorado Springs to visit our dear friend Sarah Williams who is on staff at the YWAM base there. She introduced us to an amazing Indian restaurant in town. We got a personal tour of the base from her and some wonderful time fellowshipping with her. Of course, we had to try out the coffee shop there Kairos.

Steve and I spent the afternoon hiking in The Garden of the Gods. It was AMAZING! I would rate it a 10/10. So beautiful, lots of trails and gorgeous views of Pikes’ Peak!
