Colorado Week 8

This was our last week in Colorado. We are traveling on the road today…somewhere between Colorado and Missouri, most likely we will be in Kansas most of the day.

Colorado is a beautiful state and we really enjoyed some time with our son Jeremiah. Outside of seeing our son, I think the favorite thing of mine from this contract was living in the mountains (7670 feet elevation). Almost daily Steve and I did some sort of hike in the area. The options were endless. On the weekends we tried to get in at least one hike in a different location. We saw elk, moose, mountain lion, fox, deer, and coyote. The beautiful pine trees, rocky outcroppings, old mines, lakes, rivers, waterfalls, and aspen trees will be missed. I loved watching all the white water rafters on the Clear Creek that goes through town. After living in sunny Arizona for the past 5 years, the afternoon rain storms that pop up daily here took some getting used to. I did appreciate the lightning and thunder though. As a result, the whole area is stunningly green!

Our Airstream is doing great and we feel blessed to have lived here. We will definitely be back…

Also I wanted to say thank you to anyone who checked out my new book “Monty the Monarch and the Invisible Butterfly.” It remains available for purchase in paperback or kindle on Amazon.com.

Blessings!
