Enjoying the routine of life

Tucson Round Two… Week 8

Hey there friends!

I hope everyone is enjoying their November so far.

I am enjoying the fact that it is 60-70 degrees most days here in Tucson.

I do NOT miss the snow or below freezing temps. Both my sons had snow this past week (Flagstaff & Boulder) and while I appreciated the photos they sent me, I was glad to not be out in it.

The Airstream does get chilly at night here in Tucson. We have the furnace set and if it goes to 60 degrees inside it come on throughout the night. We are super glad that it works!

The coldest we’ve seen this week was 37 degrees in the dead of night. Brrrr.

This past weekend Steve and I were able to do a hike near our campground. It was at the Wildhorse Trailhead. We hiked for just under 5 miles and it was quite lovely. We saw lots of horses on the trail with us and enjoyed talking with some of the folks riding on them.

Afterward we headed to the grocery store and picked up some things for the week.

Daily hikes around the Trust Lands our campground is located in have become our norm.

Things have been pretty calm for us this week and we’ve just been enjoying the routine of life.

This coming weekend we have inspections on the Tiny House we made an offer on. I will let you know more about that next week.

Blessings,

Chrissy

  1. BTW I LOVE the mesquite trees lots!! Lots of old time stories about the pods too.
It is a little chilly here but that is when Retirement is truly APPRECIATED!! I just stay in with the Fireplace heat until all warms up outside. Just curious “if” you go to any churches down in Tucson? Some old Catholic Missions too down in Tucson region!! lol
I enjoy the Seasons here in Pine Lakes. All the Pine Trees stay about the same but the other trees in full color as they lose their leaves for winter. The Ducks on our two lakes seem to be hunkering down perhaps for the winter months – snow soon to come!
I sure will be praying for your Tiny House! Hugs – Maggie
