It’s been good to get out!

What a gorgeous week to be in Tucson! We had mild temperatures and sunshine every day this week. Steve and I made the most of it by getting out and walking, hiking, or bike riding every day.

The Loop

On Sunday we started the week with a 16 mile bike ride on something called “The Loop” here in Tucson.

We have seen lots of folks biking on it as we’ve driven around town and were excited to give it a go. Steve did some minor repair work on his bike and then we were ready. Leaving our RV park we got right on the path.

The Loop is a bicycle path that goes for 131 miles. We passed folks on foot, skates and some serious cyclists. We rode until our legs started to feel like wet noodles. Lol.

Steve and I will definitely give The Loop some more time on our bikes. With temperatures in the 70’s its perfect weather for bike riding.

Saguaro National Park

The Saguaro National Park is about 20 minutes from the RV park and there are lots of hiking trail there. One evening after Steve got back from work we drove out and did a mile and half hike on the trail. It was so quiet and with the sun setting it was just a stellar time of day to be out amongst the cacti.

The RV park we are in has some nature trails around it as well as a nice paved surface for walking. So, daily I have gotten out to do at least a mile and half around here. It’s been such a refreshment to walk in this weather.

Pima Air & Space Museum

Saturday Steve and I wondered around the aircraft at the Pima Air & Space museum in Tucson. There are so many airplanes there! We enjoyed exploring the different ones and learning so much about aviation history.
