Tucson Round Two… Week Three
Steve and I had the pleasure of driving up to Prescott Valley on Saturday.
We did some light cleaning at the house and put the very last of our possessions in storage.
The Jeep had been parked in our garage and we also got it and drove it down to Tucson. So now I have wheels and can go places if I choose. Yay!
That pretty much took up our entire Saturday. We did stop in Phoenix at an Aldi’s and got some groceries for the week.
Catching Up On Things
On Sunday we ventured out for a hike at the Saguaro National Park. We hiked about 4 miles in the fields of cactus and it was beautiful and very centering. It got hot towards the end of the hike and we were grateful for the air conditioner in our vehicle!

We ate a late breakfast at a local place and then headed back to our campground.
Sunday was catch up on tasks for the week…things like laundry, paying bills, etc… In the evening we enjoyed a nice walk around the campground.
Steve also spent some time studying for an exam he has coming up. He is getting certified to be a Health and Wellness Coach. If you have interest in this type of coaching reach out to him, as he will be accepting clients soon.
The Weather Hits Hard Sometimes
The weather here has been quite unstable this week and we’ve had several thunderstorms roll through (almost daily). The storms make for gorgeous sunsets! The wind is what always gets to me…when it gets real windy Airy rocks like a boat on the waves.

I don’t know if you saw our instagram update (Instagram @ chrissyandstevedotcom), but in case you didn’t…WE ARE UNDER CONTRACT!!
The buyer had inspections done this week. Unfortunately we were hit pretty hard by a storm that rolled through Prescott Valley. When the inspector came to our house on Tuesday the storm had loosened some of the roofing and there was a water leak in one of the bedrooms.
We were informed by our agent and immediately contacted our insurance. We are waiting to hear if the buyer would like to proceed with the purchase.
Prayers are appreciated.
State Trust Land
Steve and I discovered another hike right by our campground.
We have done it a few times now and really enjoy it. You hike about a mile out into the cactus filled State Trust Lands and then loop around the the driveway to the park, which is 1/2 mile long. So the hike is 1 and 1/2 miles total, but just so lovely.
I think hiking in the Trust Lands is my favorite thing about this park. I like being in quiet places surrounded by creation. It is calming and feels like you have space to think on a level the confines and business of life doesn’t allow.
Learning Guitar
Something I have started doing this contract is relearning the guitar. I used to play a little in college and on/off over the years. This time around I decided to give it another go. I have been practicing almost daily and can play some simple songs.

When I am playing it feels so good for my soul.
I used to play the piano often at home and have missed the expression that music gives to that part of myself. I am so glad to have a guitar with us in Airy to play.
Hoping everyone has a wonderful week ahead. Blessings to you!
