Old Tucson

This week in lieu of a hike, Chrissy and I visited Old Tucson.

Originally built to make the movie Arizona back in 1939, it evolved over the years to become the filming location for many major western movies and TV shows.

Ever heard of Little House on the Prairie? How about Gunfight at the O.K. Corral, El Dorado, The Three Amigos or Tombstone?

Yep, all filmed there on location at “Old Tucson”. The list of movies and shows filmed there is truly impressive.

Chrissy and I enjoyed a stunt show, a train ride, a wagon ride, and a can-can show while there. The scenery surrounding that area is stunning.

Here are a few photos from our time there.

Still missing you lots. Snowing and Raining here – BEAUTIFUL too but yes, COLD too. But when retired just stay home.
Thanks for all the “happy pics” – nice memories too for me of Old Tucson (back in the day. Hugs – Maggie
